Khadija Hetavkar Content Writer(Legal), Rightantra Alifiya Manasawala Contributing Author, Rightantra Isha Palas Contributing Author Rightantra It is a pretty common sight at traffic signals to see a small child in tattered clothing, asking for some money for food. It is heart-wrenching, and we have all given in to their requests by either providing food or money. After all, no child deserves to suffer in poverty. But the sad reality is that these children are victims of exploitation and the people who exploit a child’s vulnerability and innocence definitely deserve to suffer behind the bars. The act of exploitation (taking unfair advantage of a vulnerable person) violates the fundamental rights guaranteed to everyone under the Indian Constitution. Thus, the essence of this series is to shed light on how children are exploited.
